Okay, so I now have a somewhat routine gym routine. I get up at 5:45 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and head over to the gym for 35-45 minutes on the stationary bicycle. Good stuff.
I was never a gym-goer. I am one now… but before, I never frequented the gym.
Girls in gyms are weird. Okay, okay, that is a sweeping generalization which really isn’t fair to make. I should say SOME girls in gyms are weird. I’m sure that some boys in gyms are weird too; I haven’t yet experienced that though.
I don’t understand the purpose of getting up with the sun, fixing my hair, and slapping on a pile of makeup just to head to the gym.
My Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning routine:
- Alarm wakes me at 5:45
- I sleepily scan my floor for clothes to wear
- Get dressed
- Cross the hall to the bathroom
- Pee
- Wash my hands
- Splash some water on my face and brush my teeth, look in the mirror and laugh at my bed head
- Find my keys and head over to the gym. I am there by 6:00. (It helps that I live fairly close to the gym.)
Seriously, that’s it. Any more preparation than that, I feel, is just a waste of time… within ten minutes I’m a hot sweaty mess, so doing my hair and makeup seems futile. I’ll be home within an hour where I’ll have to shower and get ready for my day’s work.
Why do SOME girls do their hair and makeup before going to the gym? I think it’s weird.
If they're wearing make-up at the gym it's because they're insecure, which is also why they're at the gym.
