Loving my routine

I am so happy to have a routine back. Don’t get me wrong, I loved my summer, but I definitely missed my routine. I find it so much easier to stay on track with a routine. So, my plan for the fall is to attend my karate classes (five hours a week) and fitness classes (2-3 hours a week). Most likely, I will take Sundays ‘off’ as a rest and relaxation day (which actually usually involves doing laundry, hanging out with Ivan, and housework—so it’s not REALLY a day of R&R).
Yup, I’m glad to be back on track.

I'm baaaack!

So, I know people have been wondering, “What’s up with Grace? Why hasn’t she been updating her blog? How’s her lifestyle journey going?”

I’m sorry. I abandoned you. 

I didn’t abandon me, although I did take a good part of the summer ‘off’.

It wasn’t actually my intention to take the summer off, but so many of the fitness classes that I was attending stopped for the summer, my routine was thrown off. Additionally, I had a lot of other things going on which made it a) lots of fun; b) difficult to want to be completely focused on my weight loss; and c) stray a little from my goals (although I always knew that I’ll have to work extra hard when the summer draws to an end).

The summer isn’t over yet (right?!), but it sure is coming close and it’s now time for me to focus once again on my lifestyle goals. So, here I am, back: writing for my blog, going to karate classes, a fitness class, and maybe even a yoga class too. Good start, right? I know I’ll have to really hike up my socks and get at it… but I look forward to having a ‘routine’ again (I suck without a routine!).
